From Disney & Microsoft to GO Health Startup - Mindaugas Choice

While living in the UK and programming systems for some of the world’s most famous brands, Eimantas Rudminas, now Chief Information Officer at Go Health, could not have imagined how his life would turn out or where his endless love for technology would lead him. What ultimately drew him to Kilo were a few simple, very human things — and unlimited opportunities.

Eimantas says his interest in IT started in childhood, and he began coding at just 12 years old:
“At that time, I was creating mobile websites on a phone. Gradually, I moved on to programming websites. By the age of 16, I was already working professionally on various online projects, and after turning 18, I moved to the UK to continue my programming career.”

While in the UK, he worked on systems for global giants like Disney, Microsoft, Nike, and others. Eventually, though, homesickness prevailed, and he returned to Lithuania.

“Back in Klaipėda, together with a colleague, I founded an IT solutions company. That’s where I gained experience not only in programming but also in managing a team. After eight years, I felt the need for change and started looking for my next step. I value flexibility, so companies with rigid processes and strict working hours didn’t appeal to me,” recalls Eimantas.

What Makes Kiloverse Stand Out

What attracted Eimantas to Kilo company was its approach to people:
“The overall atmosphere and the flexibility in processes — and even in changing those processes — really stood out from other companies. And to this day, that remains one of the biggest advantages.”

The second reason was the opportunities for growth:
“In IT, if you stop learning and improving, you won’t get far. You have to learn every day. That’s why colleagues attend international conferences, and we also have various internal training opportunities.”

He also highlights how easy it is for employees to switch to another field if they’re interested:
“We’ve seen it many times. People retrain to become developers, or move from marketing into design, and so on. If there’s no demand for a new role within your current team, you can always move to another Kiloverse team. Sometimes it’s as simple as walking into the next office and starting fresh in a new position.”

Eimantas notes that employees at Kiloverse are united not only by a desire to grow but also by a shared passion for technology:
“Our team is incredibly diverse — we have athletes, members of the Riflemen’s Union, military veterans, ice water swimmers, musicians. From quiet introverts to loud extroverts — all sorts of people united by a common mission.”

Apps That Help People With Specific Conditions

Talking about his team’s work, Eimantas explains that many of the apps they develop are focused on specific health conditions:
“One of our most advanced apps, MyDiabetes, helps people with diabetes manage their condition and live a better life. It brings everything into one place: information about diabetes, nutrition plans, and tools to track essential health metrics — from blood sugar levels to hydration and food intake.”

With the help of AI, the app can also help users plan routines, track food intake, and suggest healthier alternatives:
“All of our solutions are designed with the customer in mind. Whenever we think of a new feature, we always ask: Will it help the user live a healthier, better-quality life? Will it truly bring value?”

Although many apps target specific conditions, Eimantas points out that colleagues use them even if they don’t have those conditions:
“That shows we’re building truly useful products. Our newest app for daily food tracking is already being used by our colleagues every day. It makes it much easier to understand user needs, because we are the active users ourselves. Our love for technology helps us not only solve problems but also anticipate people’s needs.”
