As a senior engineer, you won’t just build features — you’ll help shape the technical direction of the platform and influence engineering standards across the organization.

Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and highly reliable backend systems

Architect and build high-quality services using Node.js and TypeScript in production environments

Own complex domain logic, third-party integrations, and high-performance data workflows

Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy

Design robust, maintainable APIs and collaborate closely with frontend, product, and data teams

Improve system performance, security posture, observability, and infrastructure reliability

Proactively identify technical debt and lead initiatives to address it

Mentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance

Elevate engineering standards, development processes, and best practices across the team
We expect you to

Strong backend engineering expertise with deep understanding of clean architecture, system design, and scalable patterns

Proven experience building and maintaining production systems with Node.js and TypeScript

Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis, including data modeling, indexing strategies, and performance optimization

Ability to design and reason about complex business domains and distributed systems

Strong testing mindset (unit, integration, and system-level testing) and commitment to code quality

Experience owning services end-to-end — from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization

Comfortable working autonomously while influencing cross-team technical decisions

Product mindset and pragmatic decision-making ability

Curiosity and a continuous improvement attitude — you challenge assumptions and refine solutions rather than just implement requirements
Salary
Gross salary range is 5000 – 7000 EUR/month.
Location
Vilnius, Lithuania: 4 days onsite, 1 flexible day remote. Meanwhile, in Kaunas: onsite, hybrid, or remote options are available depending on the role.
